Drivers face fines for violating commemoration of the dead

The first violators have already received their penalties.

In Ukraine, drivers have begun to be held accountable for ignoring events commemorating those killed in the Russian-Ukrainian war. About this the police reported Rivne region.

Every day at 9:00 a.m., a national minute of silence is held across the country to honor the victims of Russian aggression. At the signal of the traffic controller, vehicles must stop and wait for the event to end.

However, some drivers ignore the prohibitory signals and continue driving. Such violators are recorded and held accountable under Part 2 of Article 122 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

The amount of the fine is 510 hryvnias. The patrol police reported that the first violators have already received their fines.
