The North Atlantic Treaty Organization can respond to the sending of North Korean soldiers to Russia in several ways. One of them is increased support for Ukraine. It is reported Bloomberg.
According to the publication, South Korean intelligence found out that North Korea will soon send the second batch of its soldiers to Russia. A document with this content has already been sent to Seoul's allies.
The document also states that the first group of 1500 elite North Korean special forces is currently undergoing training in the Russian Far East. She was brought there in the period from October 8 to 13 on ships. In total, it is planned to send about 10 North Korean soldiers to Russia.
According to South Korean intelligence, since August last year, Pyongyang has sent about 8 million North Korean-made 122-mm and 152-mm artillery shells to the occupiers. Also, 100 Hwasong-11 missiles and Bulsae-4 anti-tank weapons were delivered to the Russian Federation.
Two sources told Bloomberg that Seoul plans to present some of its intelligence to NATO officials on Monday.
According to the publication's interlocutors, NATO's potential response to such actions by Pyongyang is "limited." It may include strengthening aid to Ukraine, as well as strengthening cooperation with the countries of the Indo-Pacific region.
According to Bloomberg, the South Korean report also states that North Korean troops will go to war against Ukraine after training in the Far East, which will last about a month. Also, the Kremlin plans to issue weapons, uniforms and fake identity cards to North Korean soldiers to pass them off as residents of the eastern regions of the Russian Federation.
