Police drones will begin patrolling the streets of Zaporizhia starting April 18. The drones will monitor the situation in the city from above and will look for suspicious people.
According to the regional police, the main goal of the aerial patrol is to ensure law and order, timely identify suspicious persons or objects, and promptly respond to incidents. Drones equipped with powerful cameras will monitor the situation in the city from a bird's eye view.
Currently, 4 recreational zones have been identified where UAVs will operate:
- Khortytsia National Reserve
- Central Park of Culture and Recreation "Oak Grove"
- Victory Park
- Voznesenivsky Park (Rainbow Fountain Cascade)
The police say that with the help of drones, they will not only observe, but also quickly analyze the situation, detect suspicious behavior, and even warn citizens about potential threats.
