The troops of the Russian Federation launched a combined attack on Odesa with the help of cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as kamikaze drones. Part of the air targets destroyed the air defense forces.
"The Russian Federation once again attacked Ukraine, using 2 Kh-59 guided air missiles, an Iskander-M ballistic missile, an Onyx anti-ship missile, two Kh-31 guided missiles and 22 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. The strikes were carried out against the port infrastructure of Odesa region and the civil infrastructure objects of Kherson," says the summary General Staff of the Armed Forces. It is reported that the air defense forces destroyed two Kh-59 missiles and 15 attack UAVs.
According to the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, a hit was recorded in the city center and a preserved industrial building in Odesa. The Art Museum in the historical part of the city, classified as a UNESCO heritage, was damaged. Several multi-story residential buildings were damaged by the blast wave.
After that, the enemy launched a bomb attack on the port infrastructure. Air defense forces managed to destroy 15 of them. Unfortunately, there were also hits. Warehouses, special unloading equipment, cars with grain were damaged.
According to Oleg Kiper, the head of OVA, 8 victims, three local residents with minor injuries received the necessary help on the spot, five were hospitalized.
