An extraordinary session of the Odesa Regional Council took place today. Deputies, for the first time since the beginning of the war, gathered in the meeting hall, and not online.
Regarding the discussed issues, the representatives of "European Solidarity" really wanted to remove the deputy chairman Vadym Shkarovsky from OPZJ, but for the second session in a row they cannot collect the required number of signatures.
According to the statement of EU representatives, "out of the required 28, today only 19 deputies of the Odesa Regional Council have put their signatures to the draft decision on the resignation of the deputy chairman of the assembly, Vadym Shkarovsky. The initiative has so far been supported by the full composition of the EU and "Batkivshchyna" factions, and one deputy each from "Servants of the People" and "For the Future".
In addition, the deputies made a decision to allocate funds to provide material assistance to families affected by the war: in case of death of a family member - UAH 100; in case of serious injury (including amputation) - UAH 50; in the case of an injury of medium severity - UAH 20.
It was also decided at the session to dismiss the General Director of the Odesa Regional Center for Socially Significant Diseases Svetlana Izosimova (Yesypenko) and to liquidate the Odesa Regional Skin and Venereological Dispensary by joining the Odesa Regional Clinical Antitumor Center.
In the end, the deputies turned to the Ministry of Education with a request to change the methods of regional ordering in institutions of the vocational education and training institute, in order to preserve recruitment for budget positions.
