DBR employees reported about suspicion against one of the deputy heads of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Volyn region. The official is involved in the illegal transfer of land on the territory of the nature reserve fund to private ownership.
These are three land plots within the "Hnidavski bolota" nature reserve, located near the central part of Lutsk. These territories have a special environmental value and are intended for the preservation of unique flora.
Over the course of four years, the defendant signed three illegal orders, based on which more than 4 hectares of protected land were registered as private property. The plots were received by people close to the official - residents of the Lviv region, who are friends or relatives of the defendant.
After that, the plots were sold for almost 1 million hryvnias. One of them was purchased by a military serviceman who was unaware of the illegal origin of the land and became a victim of a fraudulent scheme.
The total damage caused to state interests amounts to over 6,3 million hryvnias.
Currently, measures are underway to return the land to state ownership. The official has been notified of suspicion of abuse of office, which has led to serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Other persons who may have been involved in illegal activities are being identified.
