NABU and SAP together with SBU exposed multimillion-dollar equipment during the purchase of defense products by the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the heads of two structural subdivisions of the Central Directorate of Aviation Support and Air Defense of the Armaments of the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces abused their official position in favor of representatives of two private companies, ensuring their victory in tenders for the purchase of aviation components. With the assistance of officials, price offers of a predetermined circle of participants were submitted for consideration by the commission, which was supposed to create the appearance of competition. Instead, the more profitable commercial offers of another participant were either deliberately distorted or completely ignored.
As a result, the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces concluded unprofitable contracts and overpaid for products by 27,3 million UAH.
Both officials were informed of the suspicion under ch. 2 Art. 28, ch. 2 Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing, the entire chain of procurement of aviation components from a foreign manufacturer to import into the territory of Ukraine is being investigated, which was accompanied by a significant increase in their price.
