Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine informedthat law enforcement officers handed over a suspicion to a group of military personnel who unjustifiably paid a subordinate over 840 thousand hryvnias in combat pay.
The criminal scheme was organized by the then commander of the military unit, who involved two subordinates in it. It was one of them who was paid a reward of 30 hryvnias per month, as well as a one-time payment of 000 hryvnias — for allegedly participating in hostilities. In fact, during this period, the serviceman was in Kropyvnytskyi.
"In this way, during June 2023 - March 2024, he received more than 840 hryvnias, which were distributed among all participants in the scheme," — the department reported.
Investigators have informed three members of the organized group of suspicion. They are a former commander, a senior sergeant, and a driver-electrician of a military unit. They are charged with taking someone else's property by an organized group. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
