Outages cannot be avoided: the Ministry of Energy reported that energy workers are continuously restoring the system

After the massive Russian missile attack on the night of November 8, the situation in Ukraine's energy system remains difficult. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Artem Nekrasov, during a telethon.

According to him, this attack was one of the most severe for the energy sector since the beginning of the full-scale war. The enemy struck mainly with ballistic missiles, which are extremely difficult to shoot down. Of the 45 missiles launched during the attack, 32 were ballistic.

"Energy engineers are working non-stop, but it takes time to stabilize the system," — noted Nekrasov.

Currently, most regions of the country have hourly power outages for all categories of consumers. The most difficult situation is observed in Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. In the remaining regions, schedules of restrictions of up to two and a half shifts are applied.

Due to previous shelling, some areas in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions remain without power. Restoration work is continuing with safety precautions and only after permission from the military.

The Ministry of Energy has urged Ukrainians to limit the use of household appliances during peak hours — from 8:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. Postponing energy-intensive processes to after 22:00 will help reduce the load on the system and accelerate its stabilization.
