The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the candidacy of Yulia Svyrydenko for the position of Prime Minister on July 17. 262 people's deputies voted for this decision. This was announced by the People's Deputy from the parliament session. Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

It should be noted that Svyrydenko became the second female head of government in the history of Ukraine's independence. Before that, she held the position of First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy.
