The Armed Forces threatened criminal responsibility for spreading fakes about mobilization. After all, false information undermines public trust in state institutions and the Defense Forces of Ukraine. It was reported Сухопутні війська України.
According to the military, despite the broad information and educational campaign conducted by the state in terms of explaining mobilization measures, cases of spreading distorted and unverified information aimed at inciting and destabilizing the socio-political situation inside the country have become more frequent.
And it also leads to inflaming social sentiments among the population and, as a result, disrupting the mobilization of Ukrainian citizens to the ranks of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The Armed Forces reminded that the following are prohibited in Ukraine:
- any distortions and manipulative interpretations of requirements regarding mobilization measures;
- dissemination of false information aimed at undermining state security measures;
- providing any evaluative judgments without clear reasoning and reliable facts and spreading them through various channels (especially Internet media) with a selfish purpose.
After all, all the above-mentioned actions, according to the military, serve only one single purpose — to undermine public trust in state institutions and the Defense Forces of Ukraine as a whole.
"We note that the Law of Ukraine dated April 8, 2014 No. 1183-VII "On Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine". Chapter 1 of the special part "Crimes against the foundations of the national security of Ukraine" is supplemented by Article 114-1 "Hindering the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations". - added the Ground Forces.
Note that in accordance with this law, the competent authorities can initiate criminal proceedings against such persons in order to protect the legitimate activities of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the safety of citizens, which is the most important task of all components of the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
"Speculative actions in the information space, which consist of direct accusations of allegedly illegal actions by representatives of territorial centers of recruitment and social support, will be checked by law enforcement agencies within the limits of their powers and competencies." - concluded the military.
At the same time, the Ground Forces emphasized that all existing violations on the part of the TCC and SP themselves do not remain without proper assessment and control by the Ground Forces command. Each case is given a proper legal assessment with all the sanctions provided for by the current legislation of Ukraine.
