In the city of Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk Region, TCC employees and law enforcement officers detained a bus driver carrying 50 people from Poltava Oblast. About this reported the Public.
It is noted that the driver was put in the car and taken away. He was accompanied by his son, who found out on the phone that his father was already undergoing the VLK.
He had documents, car keys and money for fuel - so 50 passengers could not continue their journey.
"The driver stopped near the gas station. While the people had gone to eat, to the toilet, the police arrived together with the employees of the Nadvirnya district TCC. The driver was put in the car with documents, bus keys and money for fuel and taken away. All the people remained outside. Departure to Poltava was supposed to be tomorrow morning. His 14-year-old son was driving with the driver, who is now alone because his father was taken away. The child tried to call his father, but he only told him that he was in Frankivsk in a hospital undergoing a VLC." — the tourist told the newspaper.
All passengers of the bus were later transferred to a local vehicle.
The press officer of the Ivano-Frankivsk TCC and SP Dmytro Boykanyuk refused to comment on any issues in this regard, advising to write an information request to the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As lawyer Dmytro Morgun told Sospilno, the police and TCC had no reason to detain the driver and take him away from the workplace. With these actions, they violated the constitutional right to perform labor duties and exceeded their official authority.
