In Ukraine, an Instructors' School will soon be opened, which should become a platform for exchanging combat experience. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, in Telegram.
Syrsky said that he held a monthly meeting on the training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine personnel.
Basic training
According to him, the use of new technologies and tactics on the battlefield, as well as the expansion of the kill zone, require constant improvement of soldiers' training. The main goal is to save as many lives as possible of Ukrainian defenders.
The Commander-in-Chief recalled that the duration of basic training was increased from 30 to 51 days. According to him, it is important that the training includes modern elements that save lives. This includes countering enemy drones, the use of electronic warfare, and tactical medicine.
Training of instructors
During the meeting, Syrsky was informed about the implementation of the action plan to improve the training of Ukrainian soldiers. Particular attention was paid to staffing training centers with professional instructors with combat experience.
"The School of Instructors will begin operating in the near future. Its creation will allow significantly increasing the level of training of instructors and will become a platform for accumulating and transferring relevant combat experience," — emphasized the commander-in-chief.
The general also emphasized that involving instructors in performing other tasks that are not related to the training of soldiers is unacceptable, since the training of soldiers requires full dedication.
Commander training
The issue of training non-commissioned officers was also raised separately. The general drew attention to the fact that the changing nature of war requires a powerful corps of junior commanders. The main emphasis is on the formation of leadership qualities.
“We are increasing the training time in this area and expanding the program of the Leadership course,” he noted.
According to Syrsky, active work is underway to train unit commanders. This is important because their interaction during the exercises provides an opportunity to exchange combat experience and adapt to battlefield conditions.
