The heating season has already begun in most regions of Ukraine, with partial connection in 13 regions as of today. This was reported by press service Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
"The heating season has started amid unprecedented enemy attacks on energy and heat generation facilities. Housing, heat and water supply and sewage facilities are suffering from enemy shelling on a daily basis," — said Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Kostyantyn Kovalchuk.
He also added that the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a difficult winter, but despite this, the technical readiness of municipal heat supply enterprises allows the heating season to begin.
Today, more than 55% of social facilities are already connected to heat, including more than 5 kindergartens, almost 6 educational institutions, and more than 2 healthcare facilities. Heat is gradually being supplied to residential buildings - today there is partial connection in 13 regions.
In total, more than 17,5 thousand boiler rooms and 17 thousand kilometers of heating networks were prepared for operation for the start of the heating season, of which 340 km were replaced, major repairs and boiler replacements were carried out.
