The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine issued an order according to which men of limited fitness for military service will be mobilized. The document is published on the government website.
The main thing in the order is that everyone will be recognized as suitable under the "disputed" articles. Articles of the Schedule of Diseases 2-c, 4-c, 5-c, 12-c, 13-c, 14-c, 17-c, 21-c, 22-c, which had exceptions to this rule, are now abolished.
According to the new order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the following diseases are not grounds for declaring a person unfit for military service:
- 2nd – clinically cured tuberculosis;
- 4-c – viral hepatitis with minor functional impairment;
- 5th – asymptomatic HIV;
- 13th - diseases of the endocrine system with minor functional disorders;
- 14th - mild short-term painful manifestations of mental disorders;
- 17th - neurotic, stress-related and somatoform disorders (phobic, anxiety, adaptation, somatofort and other neurotic disorders, neurasthenia, reactions to severe stress) with moderately pronounced, short-term manifestations;
- 21st – slowly progressing diseases of the central nervous system;
- 22nd – episodic and paroxysmal disorders.
The document also states that:
Those with limited eligibility will be eligible for a specific military specialty. The resolution will be adopted by the VLK
Health requirements for paratroopers and marines have been simplified: some military personnel who were previously deemed unfit for amphibious service will now be fit for such service.
