In particular, according to energy experts, on June 22, for this reason, numerous outages occurred in the networks of distribution system operators. In particular, overhead lines and substations of Oblenergo were shut down in Lviv region.
Also, on the morning of June 23, a storm front passed through the Chernivtsi region. The overhead line and oblenergo substations were shut down. Household consumers were disconnected, everyone was restored.
“The transmission system operator's high-voltage overhead line went down in the western region this morning due to a thunderstorm. She was included in the work. However, this disconnection led to overloading of the internal intersections of the power grid of Ukraine. In order to prevent a system crash, a short-term emergency disconnection of consumers was used," — added to the Ministry of Energy.
