August 2023 is predicted to be the most difficult for the energy system of Ukraine due to the increase in power unit repair volumes. This will significantly reduce the amount of capacity to cover the consumption of the population. Compensation is partially possible due to the import of electricity from Europe. Ukrenergo provided recommendations for saving electricity in the summer:
🔹 cool the room not lower than 23˚С;
🔹 turn off powerful electrical appliances or use them alternately;
🔹 postpone the use of electrical appliances to the morning or night hours of the day;
🔹 turn off the lights when you leave the room.
The department also noted that repairs are currently being carried out at many thermal and hydroelectric power stations. They should recover as much as possible before the new heating season, when the need for electricity will be much higher. Planned repairs are also underway at some nuclear power units.
