In the Odessa region, the possibility of crossing the state border with Moldova and Romania for passenger and freight transport through a number of checkpoints has been restored. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, reports press service
According to him, as of 12:00 on December 21, travel to checkpoints via the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway, which remains a key route for international logistics in the south of the country, was ensured.
"Our task is to ensure predictable and stable operation of logistics routes even in conditions of constant security risks. We are gradually restoring connections, are in constant contact with neighboring countries, and are doing everything possible to ensure that carriers have clear routes and can plan their activities. The situation remains dynamic, but we are making every effort to support logistics," Kuleba emphasized.
This concerns, in particular, the operation of the following checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Moldovan and Ukrainian-Romanian borders within the Odessa region:
- "Palanka - Beacons - Comfortable"
- "Reni - Giurgiulesti"
- "Tobacco - Peaceful"
- "Vinogradovka - Vulcanesti"
- "Maloyaroslavets - Chadyr-Lunga 1"
- "August — Besarabka"
- "Novi Troyani - Chadyr-Lunga"
- "Old Cossacks - Tudora"
- "Orlovka - Isakcha"
To cross the border through the specified checkpoints, prior registration in the "eQueue" system is mandatory. This requirement applies to both buses and trucks.
The ministry also drew the attention of carriers to the limited capacity of the highway leading from Odessa to these checkpoints. In this regard, drivers and logistics companies are recommended to plan routes in advance and allow additional time for travel.
Current information on the workload of checkpoints can be viewed in the corresponding section "Loading" on the official website of the "eQueue" system.
In addition, alternative border crossing points with Moldova in Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia regions remain available for buses and freight transport. They are operating in an enhanced mode.
The government urges international carriers to regularly monitor official notifications, as the situation at the border may change. They promise to provide additional information about all updates.
