For violating the rules during the national multi-subject test, participants will have their results annulled and will be asked to leave the examination centers. Applicants who do not finish the test due to anxiety or poor health will also receive zero points for the NMT during the main session. About this told Director of the Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment Tetyana Vakulenko.
The participant's results will be canceled if, during the NMT, they are found to have:
- mobile phone;
- smartwatch;
- headphone;
- flash drive;
- other means of technical communication.
Even the presence of faulty or turned-off gadgets will be considered a violation.
According to Vakulenko, before the test begins, employees of temporary examination centers will inspect applicants with metal detectors. Most centers will also install video surveillance cameras.
«Results will be canceled for cheating, the presence of any technical communication devices or their parts by the applicant. Even if he has a flash drive, wired or wireless headphones in his pocket. The testing center employees cannot determine how exactly these were used, whether they were connected to something", - says the director of UCEQA.
In addition, a participant in the NMT will not be able to receive their result if they are “caught” talking to other entrants or if they do not stop performing the task during the air raid siren. Immediately after the siren, the assessment is stopped and all participants must take cover.
Being late is another reason why a candidate will miss the test this year. If a candidate does not arrive at the exam center on time without a valid reason, they will not be able to register for an additional NMT session and take the test again.
Serious reasons for those who have already come for testing may include poor health, prolonged air anxiety, and technical problems at the examination center, explains Tetyana Vakulenko.
In such cases, the center's specialists cancel the result that the applicant has already received. To participate in the additional session, he must write an application to the UCEQA on the spot.
If the result was annulled due to a participant's violation of procedures, he/she loses the right to participate in an additional session.
If the applicant was unable to come to the examination center on the day of the NMT, then within three days he must submit an application to the regional center for the assessment of the quality of education. It must be accompanied by documents confirming the reason for missing the test. If it is recognized as valid, the applicant will be allowed to participate in an additional session of the NMT.
