The government is preparing a program of preferential lending to businesses to replenish working capital in the amount of up to 1 billion hryvnias for one enterprise or group of enterprises. This was announced by the Prime Minister Sergiy Koretsky.
According to him, the state will compensate 5% of the market rate for such loans. The funds received, in particular, can be used to purchase goods.
"Russian terror of Ukrainian business and civilian infrastructure is rapidly increasing. We must react and act to prevent it," Koretsky noted.
He explained that the measures are designed to ensure the uninterrupted supply of food, medicines, and other necessary goods to Ukrainians.
In addition, the government plans to simplify entrepreneurs' access to state assets. Businesses will have the priority right to lease property that the State Property Fund puts up for auction. According to the prime minister, this is necessary because after strikes on production facilities, warehouses or offices, companies need to quickly find new premises and resume work.
A separate set of measures concerns business operations during air raids. The government has adopted relevant recommendations, taking into account differentiated notification.
"If businesses stop every time a siren sounds, we lose jobs, taxes, and the country's very ability to provide for its people," Koretsky said.
At the same time, the recommendations include a mandatory safety component. Businesses were given three months to set up shelters or safe spaces at their service locations.
