Ukrainian delegation invited to the US after Witkoff's talks with Putin

The Ukrainian negotiating team was invited to visit the United States after the US leader's special representative, Steve Witkoff, met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga, reports "Radio Liberty«.

After the meeting of NATO foreign ministers, Sibiga said that the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, had already called Witkoff after he met with Putin. For security reasons, the details of the meeting in Moscow were not discussed.

At the same time, according to the minister, Umerov continues consultations on peace talks with officials from France, Britain, and Germany. They are coordinating positions and assessing the progress made.

"The representatives of the American delegation reported that, in their assessment, the talks in Moscow had a positive impact on the peace process. They invited the Ukrainian delegation to America to continue our talks in the near future," — the Foreign Minister noted.

Yesterday, December 2, US President's Special Representative Steve Witkoff and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner met in Moscow with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

According to Putin aide Yuri Ushakov, the parties were unable to reach any compromise solutions. At the same time, he noted that both Washington and Moscow allegedly see “significant opportunities” for further cooperation.
