Ministry of Defence Ukraine announcedthat one of the key areas of his work in 2025 will be the creation of the latest long-range weapons that will allow him to hit enemy targets at maximum distances with high accuracy.
"This should significantly weaken Russia's military potential, in particular by destroying logistics chains and military facilities at great depth, as well as destroying concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment," — informed the department.
It is noted that significant results have already been achieved in this direction in 2024: the first domestic missiles have been manufactured, serial production of cruise missiles has been expanded, and successful tests of ballistic and cruise missiles have been conducted, allowing for increased range. In addition, work is underway to supply anti-aircraft missile systems manufactured by Ukrainian enterprises together with foreign partners.
Separately, the Ministry of Defense focuses on the development of a missile defense system to protect Ukrainian cities from enemy attacks. Another important aspect is the development of a domestic missile defense system that should meet the best world standards.
Within the framework of these projects, negotiations are being held with foreign partners on the supply of missile defense systems, as well as the creation of joint Ukrainian-Western developments in the field of air defense. To effectively support these initiatives, the Department for the Development of Missile Armaments and Missile Defense Systems was created in 2024, which combines advanced technologies, Ukrainian experience, and the support of allies to create effective combat solutions.
