A two-day American-Ukrainian conference on joint defense is taking place in Washington

Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak told the details

Today, we are witnessing the spread of the Axis of Madness, an obscene military adventurism that no democratic country can afford to ignore. It is with such emphasis in the publication Newsmax the material of the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, was published.

The head of the OP noted that one of the many Kremlin dictators who tried to break Ukraine was Stalin, who staged the Holodomor - a great artificial famine organized by the Soviet Union in the hope of eradicating our independence movement.

"The famine of 1932-33 took the lives of several million people, but the Ukrainian nation survived. On the fourth Saturday of November, for the past 25 years, we have been commemorating the victims of the Holodomor by lighting candles in memory of those who were deliberately starved to death for the Kremlin's genocidal goals. - writes Yermak.

However, as the head of the OP notes, this year another Russian dictator interrupted such ceremonies throughout the country. Vladimir Putin chose our most important anniversary to launch his biggest drone and missile attack since his doomed invasion of Ukraine early last year. In a six-hour frenzy of targeted destruction, Russian forces launched 75 Iranian-made kamikaze drones aimed at Kyiv.

"The results could have been catastrophic. The purpose of the attack on civilian areas was to test our defenses, as well as to spread terror and undermine morale. It was thanks to the unwavering support of our many allies in the US and around the world that we were able to shoot down 74 of the 75 drones (as well as one cruise missile).

Unfortunately, some debris from destroyed drones fell into civilian areas — in one case damaging a kindergarten and injuring several people, including an 11-year-old girl. However, the Russian blitzkrieg clearly failed in all important aspects. The Kremlin received the clearest response to its test of terror. He cannot defeat Ukraine"Andriy Yermak notes.

In his opinion, this, of course, will not stop Putin's next attempts. However, this will only lead to one thing - even more Russian soldiers will be sent to their deaths. But most importantly, what conclusions should the rest of humanity draw from the madness we are witnessing around the world?

"Since then, the conflict in Ukraine has been joined by an open war in the Middle East, provoked by the terrible attack of Hamas on Israel. Houthi fighters in Yemen are firing missiles at American warships. North Korea once again ignored the resolutions of the UN Security Council by launching a spy satellite into space. Kim Jong Un and his equally sinister daughter, Ju Ae, boast of a "new era of space power." Iran is happy to supply its military equipment to anyone who hates America. Former US President George W. Bush spoke of an "axis of evil" that originally consisted of Iran, Iraq, and North Korea. However, today we are witnessing the spread of the axis of madness — obscene military adventurism that no democratic country can afford to ignore.” - writes Yermak.

Autocracies band together to wage war against the free world. But Ukraine is no longer alone in the struggle for freedom. We remain a bastion of civilized values, democratic self-expression, and individual freedom.

"Aid to Ukraine brought immeasurable benefits not only to us, but also to the entire Western world. Our defense forces blocked the westward advance of Russian imperial ambitions. We have already liberated half of the territory that Russia occupied since February last year. Thousands of Russian tanks, armored vehicles and artillery systems lie broken in our steppes. The Russian army has lost so many men that it now relies on mercenaries and ex-prisoners. And the Ukrainian defense forces have already created several bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region." — says the head of the OP.

In addition, Andrii Yermak emphasized the importance of the help of partners. What began with a small batch of portable anti-tank missiles last February has turned into a powerful flow of modern weapons and equipment. Today, Ukraine has Patriot air defense batteries, Abrams tanks, M777 howitzers and other advanced technological systems.

"Our war provides a valuable testing ground for NATO's weapons, which quickly adapt to new ways of fighting. We have entered a new era of unmanned aerial vehicles. Recently, one relatively cheap Ukrainian UAV destroyed four Russian tanks in one day. We have virtually no navy, but in some parts of the Black Sea our drones, missiles and other high-tech weapons keep the Russian fleet in check. The knowledge that American generals and civilian strategists gain from the war for the independence of Ukraine may prove to be vital for the future security of the United States." Yermak emphasizes.

According to the head of the OP, the result of such interaction is a close coordination of defense strategies and military technologies of NATO and Ukraine, which will serve all partners for the benefit and deter common enemies. Currently, the first steps towards cooperation between Ukrainian and American defense industry companies have already been taken.

"That is why a two-day joint American-Ukrainian conference on joint defense is being held in Washington on December 6 and 7. The main goal is to strengthen the cooperation of defense industries for a significant increase in the production of weapons in Ukraine, the USA, as well as in other NATO member countries. Our priority is the equipment and ammunition we so desperately need now, but we must also look to the future. Putin will leave one day, but he is unlikely to be the last megalomaniac who dreams of world domination." Andriy Yermak summarized.

The more we act together to defend our democratic values, the easier it will be to deter the apostles of madness from trying to impose their delusions by force.
