In South Korea, the condition for the cancellation of any restrictions on aid to Ukraine was named

Seoul's decision depends on how Russia's military cooperation with North Korea will develop

South Korea will be under no obligation to help Ukraine if Russia provides North Korea with high-precision weapons. This was stated by the head of the National Security Department of the administration of the President of South Korea, Jang Ho-jin, writes Yonhap.

According to him, Seoul's decision to provide weapons to Ukraine depends on how Russia's military cooperation with North Korea will develop.

"I would like to emphasize that everything depends on what Russia will do. Will there be a line for us if Russia transfers precision weapons to North Korea?” — he said.

The official also noted that if the Russians want to restore and advance Korean-Russian relations, then "the Russian side should think carefully."

Earlier, South Korea said it would reconsider its position on refusing to supply arms to Ukraine after Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement, which commits each other to cooperation in the field of defense and military technology. .

Since then, Putin has warned that Seoul's provision of arms to Ukraine would be a "very big mistake." At the same time, Seoul believes that not only South Korea, but also Russia should make efforts to improve bilateral relations.
