The largest artillery exercise of NATO countries in Europe - "Lightning Strike-24" - begins in Finland on Monday, November 4. They are part of the "Dynamic Front-25" series of exercises, which are held on the territory of five European countries - Finland, Estonia, Germany, Romania and Poland. This was reported by the Finnish media Yle.
The training will take place in the regions of Rovajarvi and Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland until November 28.
About 3600 servicemen will take part in the Finnish part of the exercises, of which about 1250 soldiers of international forces will arrive in the region.
The purpose of the exercises is to demonstrate the defense capabilities of the Alliance in the Northern Europe region and practice operational command, control and cooperation with the Alliance's Joint Rapid Response Corps.
In total, about 25 servicemen from 5 different countries will take part in NATO's Dynamic Front-28 exercises.
