The United States is considering transferring Patriot missiles to Ukraine, which Kyiv needs to defend itself against enemy missiles. US President Donald Trump announced this during communication with reporters aboard Air Force One.
"They (Patriot missiles – ed.) need them for defense. I don't want to see children killed. They (Patriot missiles – ed.) are incredibly effective. You know, we shot down 14 out of 14 targets. It's pretty incredible when you think about it," — the US president said.
Trump also emphasized that the missiles are necessary for Ukraine because the country has suffered greatly from Russian attacks.
When asked whether the US was going to transfer these missiles to Ukraine, he replied that he would consider the issue.
"We can consider this (transfer of missiles – ed.)" Trump added.
