US President-elect Donald Trump has announced the selection of Richard Grenell for the position of the President's Special Representative for Special Missions. He was previously Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in the first Trump administration. It is reported Reuters.
According to Trump, Grenell will conduct work in a number of "the hottest spots in the world."
"Rick will be working in some of the hottest spots in the world, including Venezuela and North Korea," the future White House chief wrote on his Truth Social platform.
However, Trump did not provide details about such a choice, and did not indicate further duties.
