Trump Jr.: Father may 'leave Ukraine' if there is no peace with Russia — Politico

Donald Trump Jr. has criticized corruption in Ukraine and said his father may "leave the country" if it does not make peace with Russia. This is reported by Politico.

According to the publication, the son of US President Donald Trump spoke at the Doha Forum, a large gathering of government officials and other international players.

During his speech, Trump Jr. emphasized that Ukraine has long suffered from corruption in official circles, adding that bribery fuels war in both Moscow and Kyiv.

In addition, he criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In this context, Politico mentions the recent corruption scandal and the resignation of Andriy Yermak from the post of head of the Presidential Administration, after which it quotes the following words of Trump's son:

"Because of the war and because he is one of the greatest marketers of all time, Zelensky became practically a deity, especially for the left, for whom he could do no wrong, he was impeccable," Trump Jr. said.

When asked if the US president could leave Ukraine, the younger Trump replied: "I think he could."

“What’s good about my father, and what’s unique about him, is that you don’t know what he’s going to do. The fact that he’s unpredictable… makes everyone act intellectually honest… We want peace. We want to stop death,” — he added.
