The restoration of power supply to residents in Kyiv and the region is underway. Residents of the capital, who were left without heat as a result of Russian shelling, are gradually having their homes heated. About this said Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko.
According to her, after the Russian shelling, the heating system in Kyiv was launched. Heat-generating facilities supply heat to residential buildings, and a phased launch of supply directly to homes is underway.
She noted that the situation with electricity is more complicated. The right bank of Kyiv has almost completely been switched to planned outage schedules. Emergency outages remain on the left bank.
"The power grids are significantly damaged, and due to low temperatures, people are using electric heaters more actively. We ask you to consume electricity sparingly while the power system is being restored after the shelling," — Svyridenko noted.
