Washington has called on North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) member states to hand over to Ukraine all their air defense systems that they can share. This was stated by White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, reports "Voice of America«.
An American official during a conversation with journalists noted that this is the position of the United States.
"Our position is that let's provide air defense to Ukraine, this is the most effective way to protect the sky. That's why we've called on every ally to provide whatever system you can provide." - said the representative of the White House.
Reacting to the words of the Polish minister that the country will not shoot down Russian missiles flying through Ukraine in its direction, if there is no corresponding decision at the NATO level, Sullivan noted that the White House considers a powerful air defense system the best way to stop Russian air attacks.
