The average amount of life support of judges in Ukraine at the beginning of the current year was UAH 99,74 thousand, and the pension of prosecutors was UAH 21,94 thousand. Such data were provided by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine in response to the publication's request EP.
As noted by the Ministry of Social Policy, the number of special pensioners is increasing despite the fact that the total number of Ukrainian pensioners is decreasing.
"At the same time, the contingent of recipients of these payments as of September 2023 is 740 people, which is 7% of the total number of pensioners (10 people); as of September 547,8 - 2024 thousand people, which is 777,8% of the total number of pensioners (7,5 thousand people)". - says the department's reply.
Who gets how much?
In general, the department counted 4 current laws that define special conditions for retirement and 9 more laws that are no longer in force, according to which people continue to receive special pensions. Below we provide data on the average amount of special pensions and the number of their recipients as of January 1, 2024.
Ukrainian judges receive the highest payments. The average amount of a judge's lifetime allowance is UAH 99737. In total, there are 3769 people in Ukraine who receive a lifetime allowance of a judge.
The second largest average amount of special pensions for prosecutors is UAH 21940. 5851 people receive such special pensions
The average amount of pensions of "Chernobyl" residents in Ukraine is UAH 12910. More than 97 people are recipients of such special pensions.
The most numerous category of special pensioners in Ukraine are former military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies (militia/police, tax police/BEB, DBR, NABU and some other law enforcement agencies). As of January 1, their number was 622,46, but by October 1, it had increased to 650, the Ministry of Social Policy adds.
The average pension of a former military serviceman as of January 1 of this year was UAH 8713,55 (number of recipients – 43517 people), and the average pension payment of a former law enforcement officer was UAH 10032 (number of recipients – 579129 people).
The state has already canceled some special pension regimes, but people continue to receive special pensions in accordance with them. The largest group of such people are former civil servants and employees of diplomatic institutions - 20,07 thousand people, the average amount of payment - 9835 UAH.
1679 people in Ukraine receive pensions under the law "On service in local self-government bodies". The average amount of the payment is UAH 6166,77.
Former people's deputies receive somewhat larger pensions - UAH 17,89 thousand (the number of recipients - 653).
333 people receive a pension under the law "On State Support of Mass Media and Social Protection of Journalists". The average payment amount is UAH 6366,67.
Also, the Ministry of Social Policy counted 181 pension recipients in accordance with the law "On scientific and scientific and technical activity". The average amount of the pension is UAH 5023,2.
The average amount of the pension payment of 78 persons, whose pension is calculated in accordance with the provision on the assistant-consultant of the People's Deputy of Ukraine, is UAH 5906,41.
53 people in Ukraine receive a special pension in accordance with the law "On the National Bank". The average amount of such payment is UAH 12754,72.
36 Ukrainians receive a special pension, the conditions of which were prescribed in the Customs Code (its average amount is UAH 7608,33).
According to the law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine", 30 people receive a pension, and the average amount of such payment is UAH 17140.
Note that as of October 1, the average amount of old-age pension in Ukraine is UAH 5635,48, disability pension is UAH 4892,57.
Earlier, the Ministry of Social Policy calculated that in 9 months of 2024, the state spent almost 88 billion hryvnias on special pensions, and by the end of the year this amount will amount to almost 120 billion.
