Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi informed, who worked for three days on the Eastern Front, in the brigades holding the defense in the Kharkiv and Toretsk directions.
According to him, the main tasks of working in the brigades were to study the situation directly in the combat areas, to analyze the effectiveness of the execution of combat tasks, to solve problematic issues of providing units with ammunition, UAVs, EW devices and to provide assistance to commanders in the organization of combat operations.
The Commander-in-Chief noted that combat operations of varying intensity are ongoing in all directions of the Russian offensive. In some places, at the cost of heavy losses, the enemy has little success.
"The enemy continues to concentrate its efforts in the Pokrovsk direction, throws its most experienced assault units into battle, trying to break through our defenses in the Zhelanne, Novogrodivka, Pokrovsk direction. Fierce battles are ongoing in the Kupyansk direction in the area of Pishchany, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, but we are holding our positions." - noted Sirskyi.
According to him, the situation in the Seversky direction is difficult. The enemy actively uses artillery, conducts assaults, but has no success. Fierce battles are also taking place in the area of the canal on the approaches to Chasovoy Yar, without changing the positions of the parties.
In addition, the Russians are storming the positions of the Defense Forces in the districts of New York, South, and Zalizny. On the Kharkiv direction, heavy battles are taking place in the area of Hlybokoy, Vovchansk, but the enemy is not succeeding and is suffering significant losses.
"During active hostilities, the tactical positions of the troops may change several times during the day. As of now, there have been no significant changes. The forces of the National Police, the SBU and the Military Law and Order Service are conducting counter-subversive actions. Their units are currently detecting and neutralizing sabotage groups of the enemy in urban areas in the Toretsk direction."
