The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, held a meeting with a British delegation led by the Chief of the British Defense Staff, Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton. He said this informed on his Facebook page.
Syrskyi informed his British colleagues in detail about the operational situation at the front. He paid special attention to the measures taken by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to disrupt the autumn-winter campaign of the Russian occupiers.
According to him, despite significant enemy pressure on certain sections of the front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine manage to successfully counterattack and inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian troops.
"We separately discussed the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular in weapons for the land, aviation and naval components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine," — said the headman.
He also thanked Knighton, the government and people of Britain for their consistent political support for Ukraine and strong military assistance to the Defence Forces.
"The visit of our British partners once again confirmed the effectiveness of our military cooperation and strategic partnership," — Sirsky noted.
