Today, July 3, the Russian Federation attacked the port of Odessa, resulting in the deaths of two people. Six others were also injured. This was reported by the Twitter accounts Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Andriy Sybiga.
As the head of the department noted, the terrorists deliberately struck civilian infrastructure and a foreign cargo ship. Among the victims were two Syrian citizens.
"This is a barbaric war crime. Russia rejects all attempts to achieve a ceasefire and promote peace. Moscow is only intensifying terror and must be subjected to increased pressure — without delay," he added.
The minister said he had just visited the port with his German counterpart Johann Wadeful and witnessed the damage from the systemic strikes, adding that the strike was part of a targeted Russian campaign against Ukraine's economy and agriculture, as well as global food security and freedom of navigation.
"We call for a strong international response to this barbaric attack, including clear condemnation and actions aimed at increasing pressure on the aggressor and strengthening Ukraine. Moscow must understand that such actions will not be tolerated," - the minister remarked.
