In any negotiations in the future, it should be understood that there are fundamental things that are not discussed, that cannot be touched upon. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga named the key points. The diplomat said this said in an interview with RBC.
According to Sibiga, this is:
- territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine – we will never recognize occupied territories;
- no country has a veto over the choice of the Ukrainian people, over Ukraine's choice to participate in certain alliances – whether it's the European Union or NATO;
- There can be no limitations on Ukraine's defense capabilities – no limitations on the strength of our army, our capabilities.
"Therefore, these are fundamental things that our partners know about. Russia must be held accountable. These are all elements of a comprehensive peace. And I will remind you that they were also written in our "peace formula", they reflect the approaches that determine our position on the international arena. Fundamental things, of principle for us, are "nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine", "nothing about Europe without Europe". And we also have support here," he concluded.
