Xi Jinping first told Putin about the need for a "fair" peace deal on Ukraine

you are Putin

Chinese leader Xi Jinping, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, expressed hope that diplomatic efforts would lead to a "fair" peace agreement on Ukraine. This was reported Reuters і Bloomberg.

During a tea party on May 8, Xi told Putin that he hoped that "a fair, lasting and binding peace agreement that will be accepted by all interested parties"can be achieved through dialogue.

"While Xi did not specify what a possible agreement would look like, the comment was likely the first time a Chinese leader has personally outlined the principles of an agreement to end Russia's war against Ukraine," — journalists paid attention.

The Chinese leader's position echoes earlier statements by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who called for "a fair and lasting peace agreement that is binding and accepted by all."
