The Chancellor of Germany made the corresponding statement at a press conference after the summit of the European Political Community in Great Britain.
As noted by the media, Scholz's objections also related to Zelenskyi's call to lift restrictions on the use of Western weapons provided for strikes on Russian territory.
When asked whether Scholz agrees with other NATO countries regarding Zelensky's calls, he said: "I see a consensus that such steps are out of the question, and the US has also been very clear about that."
On July 18, Zelensky took part in the summit of the European Political Community in Great Britain. He called on partners to strengthen Ukraine's air defense and to lift restrictions on strikes against Russia with weapons provided to Ukraine.
