At the initiative of the Ministry of Energy, the Government has adopted a decision for more effective distribution of electricity. The changes concern critically important facilities. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal in Telegram.
In particular, lists of critically important facilities will now be formed separately for the winter and summer periods, Shmyhal noted.
Seasonal features will be taken into account:
- power system operations,
- marginal consumption of electrical power.
Such changes will allow:
- more effectively plan the distribution of available electrical energy;
- increase its available volume for household consumers;
- ensure a more even distribution between regions;
- to increase the stability of the unified energy system of Ukraine.
According to Shmyhal, this decision will also make it possible to more flexibly take into account seasonal features of electricity consumption and will contribute to the stable operation of Ukraine's energy system.
