Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Turkey and Estonia have officially joined the international Electronic Warfare (EW) Coalition, created to strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. About this reported Ministry of Defense of Ukraine following the results of the 28th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine in the "Ramstein" format.
Five new participating countries have signed an addendum to the Letter of Intent, joining the initiative, which was launched in April 2025 with the participation of Ukraine, Germany, and eight other partner states.
Germany is the leader of the coalition. It coordinates the activities of the participants and has created a financial instrument that allows for the purchase of equipment and services in the field of electronic warfare for the operational transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of international assistance.
"Electronic warfare is one of the key capabilities of modern warfare, allowing us to destroy, jam, and stay one step ahead of the enemy. We expect new partners to join the coalition," – emphasized Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
