The other day, residents of Veliky Dalnyk blocked the Odesa-Reni highway due to lack of water supply. On social networks, the protesters explained: not everyone pays for the utility, but the whole village is without water.
The local KP "Veliko-Dalnytsk VUZHKG" knows exactly who is in debt.
It was created 3 years ago and was supposed to serve rural networks and collect money for the services provided. On the other hand, during this time, rural communal workers accumulated 2,5 million in debt for less than 8 residents of Veliky Dalnyk.
Yes, a lot of water is wasted here, because the suburban village is more like a cottage village with supermarkets, townhouses, a stadium and its own football club, restaurants and a hotel. And most importantly, there is an international highway here, where the traffic is so intense that even one accident causes major traffic jams, and the closure can cause a real collapse.
With the connivance of the local authorities, KP "Veliko-Dalnytskyi VUZHKG" uses this situation for banal blackmail: there is no water - there is no traffic on the international highway. This makes it possible to ignore the debt restructuring agreement concluded between KP and the Infoksvodokanal branch, and in general the norms of the current legislation.
Unfortunately, recent events on the example of Veliky Dalnyk show that some irresponsible consumers and local utilities consider it normal not to pay for already provided services — it is easier for them to pressure the supplier ("Infoksvodokanal") to provide free water to residents.
In "Infoksvodokanal" explained, which the day before revealed a sharp loss of water and a decrease in pressure in the water supply. That is why, in order to examine and identify possible hidden leaks from the water supply, the water supply of some consumers was limited, including the village of Velikiy Dalnyk. However, the repair of such damages is quite expensive and should not be paid for from the pockets of Odessa citizens who honestly calculate the services provided.
