“The chances of them getting their nuclear weapons back are somewhere between slim and zero.” — Keith Kellogg

USA

US President's Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg believes that the chances of Ukraine returning nuclear weapons are minimal. About this Fox News reports.

According to Kellogg, one should not think that the United States of America is ready to agree to these conditions.

"The chances of them getting their nuclear weapons back are somewhere between slim and zero. Let's be honest, we both know that's not going to happen." Kellogg said.

He believes that rearming Ukraine with nuclear weapons is not an option.

"Remember, the President (Trump — ed.) said that we are a common sense government. When someone says something like that, look at the outcome or the potential. This is using your common sense," — the special representative said.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently stated that Ukraine needs to have its own defense while it is still in the process of joining NATO. This could include nuclear weapons or a larger number of missiles.

"If this process drags on for years or decades, not because of us, but because of partners, then we have a completely fair question: what will protect us from this evil all this time along the way? What support package, what missiles? Will they give us nuclear weapons? Then let them give us nuclear weapons. Will they give us missiles in such quantities that we can stop Russia?" — Zelenskyy said then.
