The Russian army shelled the city of Izyum in Kharkiv region on Tuesday afternoon, February 4. There are casualties and injuries. As informed Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synegubov, according to preliminary data, the occupiers used a ballistic missile.
As of 12:10, four deaths are known.
At least 20 people are also reported injured, five of whom have been hospitalized. All emergency services are working at the scene.
"The enemy struck the central part of the city. The number of casualties has increased to 20 people," — Sinegubov reported.
Sinegubov clarified that as a result of the shelling, one person is under the rubble. The liquidation of the consequences is currently underway.
"Administrative buildings were partially destroyed, a five-story residential building was damaged. Rescuers, emergency medical services, and a dog service are working." he wrote.
As a reminder, Sinegubov previously reported that in the Kharkiv region, the cities of Izyum and Balakliya are being prepared for a perimeter defense. The construction of fortifications continues there and these are planned measures.
