According in words President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the occupiers fired more than 50 missiles and about 500 strike drones, including cruise missiles, Shaheds, and Kyndzhals. The Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Kirovohrad regions were hit.
"As of now, it is known that about 10 people were injured in the attack. Unfortunately, five died. My sincere condolences to all who lost their loved ones due to this terror," — Zelensky noted.
The President added that rescue and restoration work is ongoing in places where it is needed. He is constantly receiving reports from the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, the heads of regional military administrations, and the head of Naftogaz Serhiy Koretsky. Zelensky stressed that he expects the most efficient and high-quality work of government officials to eliminate the consequences in the affected regions.
"Today, the Russians again struck at our infrastructure, at everything that ensures a normal life for people. We need more protection, faster implementation of all defense agreements, especially regarding air defense, to make this aerial terror meaningless," - the head of state said.
He also emphasized that a unilateral ceasefire in the sky is possible, and that it could open the way to real diplomacy.
"America and Europe must act to force Putin to stop," — added Zelensky.
