Rescue operations are underway in many Ukrainian cities after a massive overnight attack by Russia. The enemy carried out more than 450 drone strikes and fired 45 missiles of various types. This was announced by the President President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
"As of now, it is known that 11 people were injured, including children. Unfortunately, one person died. My condolences to the family and friends. Dozens of people were saved," said the head of state.
According to the president, there are also victims in Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Poltava regions. Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Chernihiv regions, as well as Odesa, were hit.
Zelenskyy clarified that in the last wave of attacks alone, Russia launched more than 450 strike drones and 45 missiles of various types into Ukraine, targeting residential areas, energy, and infrastructure.
"The issue is resources for killing, money. Sanctions are needed to deprive Russia of the opportunity to continue the war," - emphasized the president.
He called on international partners to adopt a European decision on frozen Russian assets, impose additional sanctions, and strengthen Ukraine's defense.
"For every attack by Moscow on our energy sector, there must be a sanctions response across the entire Russian energy sector - without exception," Zelensky noted.
The Head of State emphasized that Russia's nuclear energy sector is still not under sanctions, and its defense-industrial complex continues to receive Western microelectronics.
"We are counting on appropriate decisions from America, Europe, and the G7 countries. Thank you to everyone who is helping and acting to protect life," — concluded the president.

On the night of November 8, the Russian army launched a massive attack using drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in the Dnipro, as well as in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
As a result of strikes on energy facilities, Kremenchuk and Horishni Plavni in Poltava region were completely left without electricity. Local authorities are taking all necessary measures to maintain the operation of water supply, sewage and heating systems even in conditions of complete power outage. Inviolability points are being organized for residents.
Also at night, Russian troops shelled the suburbs of Kharkiv. This caused power and water outages in the city, and the metro was temporarily suspended. In some areas, there is no water due to voltage problems, and some trolleybus routes have been replaced by buses.
