The Russian Navy was stockpiling Kalibr cruise missiles. Probably, the enemy can use them to attack Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyryll Budanov on the air of the telethon.
"Calibers were accumulated throughout this period. They are absolutely ready for use." - said the head of GUR.
According to him, a decision was made in Russia to use Kh-101 cruise missiles instead of Kalibrs, as they are more effective.
"In the near future, I think we will see Caliber again, because the number of X-101s has decreased significantly... There are regulations, documents, decisions, etc. The first thing is to renew the supply of missiles of the fleet, because they were significantly reduced at that time. They fulfilled this task. That is, now they are technically ready for their use. While the fleet was accumulating its missiles, the Air and Space Forces of the Russian Federation used the Kh-101″, — said Budanov.
It should be added that last year, the Russians actively used sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles to strike Ukraine's energy sector. This year, the enemy almost did not use this type of missiles.
