Russia can limit the export of uranium, titanium and nickel - Putin

sanctions

Putin said Moscow should consider restricting exports of uranium, titanium and nickel in response to Western sanctions. About this reported the Reuters.

It is noted that Putin's remarks to government ministers caused nickel prices to rise and uranium mining stocks to rise.

He said such restrictions could also be imposed on other goods, adding that Russia is a major producer of natural gas, diamonds and gold.

But he noted that measures should not be taken tomorrow, and should not harm Russia itself.

"Please look at some of the types of goods that we supply to the world market ... Perhaps it is worth thinking about certain restrictions - uranium, titanium, nickel", he told Prime Minister Mykhailo Mishustin.
