Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky believes that Russia is waging a war against the West, so it is unlikely to limit itself to capturing Ukraine. That's what he's about said in a speech at the GLOBSEC conference, reports the correspondent of "European Truth".
"It is naive to believe that if Russia wins in Ukraine, its tanks will stop at its western border. In her distorted vision, the sovereignty and integrity of the neighbors and the freedom of their citizens must correspond to the Russian vision." he declared.
According to Lipavsky, Russia understands firmness and strength, and it is precisely these tools that should be used.
"Russian aggression will have no borders if we do not establish them ourselves." he explained.
The minister reprimanded European politicians who consider it permissible to "appease Russia" through concessions to the interests of Ukraine.
«If we firmly want to protect our values, we need the courage to act." added Lipavsky.
