In the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, it is assumed that this winter Russia will launch missile strikes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, as it did last year - about it said in an intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense for September 16, published on Twitter.
British intelligence recalled that Russia attacked Ukrainian energy infrastructure in the period from October 2022 to March 2023. For strikes, the Russian Federation mainly used X-101 missiles launched by strategic aviation from Russian territory.
The department, citing data from open sources, emphasized that since April 2023, Russia began to spend less on air-launched cruise missiles, while Russian leaders emphasized efforts aimed at increasing the pace of production of such weapons.
"Therefore, Russia is probably capable of creating a significant stockpile of air-launched cruise missiles. There is a real possibility that Russia will again focus these weapons against Ukrainian infrastructure facilities in the winter," the message reads.
