As a result of a nighttime missile strike by Tu-22 strategic aviation aircraft in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky district of the Odesa region, three X-22 missiles destroyed an apartment building and two recreation centers in the village of Serhiivka.
At the moment, it is known about 19 dead and 38 wounded in the residential building, including 5 children. It was possible to save 8 people, including 3 children and a pregnant woman.
The search for the bodies is complete. In total, 150-160 people lived in the nine-story building. There are dead animals in the apartments, mostly cats, and you can hear the barking of dogs.
The building was completely damaged on one side, the slabs on the floors were destroyed, the State Emergency Service reported.
2 people died at the recreation center, including 1 child, a 12-year-old boy, and 5 more were injured. 3 people remain under the rubble, including two children.
According to preliminary information, there could be at least two more people on the territory of the recreation center, which was hit by the invaders tonight. This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhen Yenin.
"Therefore, we carefully unblock the building in order to find them in time and provide assistance," Yenin said.
Yenin emphasized that there are no critical infrastructure or military facilities in the immediate vicinity of the house or recreation centers.
The SBU immediately launched an investigation into the nighttime rocket attack on a nine-story building and two recreation centers in the Belgorod-Dnistrovskyi district - investigators of the Service are already working on the spot. This was announced by the head of the SBU, Ivan Bakanov.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
"The occupiers cannot win on the battlefield, so they resort to vile killing of the civilian population. After the enemy was knocked out of Snake Island, he decided to respond by cynically shelling civilian objects. Thus, Russia once again confirmed the status of a terrorist country. For her, a recreation base is the same goal as a military base. Russia's goal is the literal destruction of Ukraine and our citizens. But we will make every effort to ensure that all those involved in this flagrant war crime receive the most severe punishment - we will identify not only those who fired the shots, but also the specific persons who gave the order," said Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov.
