During a nighttime attack on Ukraine, two cruise missiles were fired by the Russians directly into a residential building, causing significant damage, Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat said on a telethon.
"The combined attack is truly one of the largest. We had 840 (air targets — ed.) — such an anti-record. Now we see 629. But there are more missiles than then. And the enemy is now using drones with jet engines more often," — Ignat noted.
He noted that the high-speed drones, which were also present that night, were used in different directions and were also destroyed by different means.
"What else is special about this attack? Here, perhaps, the whole world should see the special feature of the attack in that there were two direct flights of cruise missiles into a residential building. I just think the whole world will scroll through these footage," — Ignat emphasized.
Kyiv was again hit by a massive strike by Russian forces last night. It should be noted that an enemy missile hit a five-story residential building in the Darnytskyi district, completely destroying one of the entrances.
According to preliminary data, the shell hit approximately at the level of the third or fourth floor, which led to significant damage.
The shelling has temporarily blocked traffic on a number of key streets, and more than 500 rescuers and about 1000 law enforcement officers are working on the scene.
